The pattern is divided into 6 overlapping US Letter sheets (3 across × 2 down), plus one scale-check page. Print at 100% or Actual size; check the ruler before tracing.
Choosing a size
Measure the area available on the firm pumpkin face. The canvas is the square sheet area, including space around the drawing. Choose a size that fits the whole drawing and its dashed bridge marks. Compact is 90% of the original, and Large is 120%. Use the no-carve route if none fits.
These options are checked against our drawing and print-size rules. Real rind strength, shape, and printer accuracy vary; these are not physically tested carvings. Keep the marked bridges intact and check the ruler on the actual paper.

This original 19.13 in square canvas is already tiled into 3 columns × 2 rows. Pattern sheets overlap by 0.25 inch.
- Use US Letter portrait paper. In the print dialog choose 100% or Actual size. Turn off headers and footers. Do not choose Fit, Shrink, or Poster.
- Measure the bar below before cutting paper. It must be exactly 2 inches from end to end. If it is not, cancel and correct the print scale.
- Arrange full sheets by row and column. The identifier stays in the top paper margin; overlap the clean printable rectangles—not the paper edges—until paired crosshairs meet exactly.
- Tape the 0.25-inch seams. Orange cut lines are optional guides for flatter seams; leaving the full overlap intact is sturdier. The assembled canvas is 19.13 in square.
Retain the forty-unit book spine as a continuous vertical structural bridge. Adult carving only. Children can wash, scoop with a broad spoon, trace with washable marker, and place a secured battery light after tools are cleared.
